Mihael Keehl´s relation with sound begins in 2003 (just after his degree in architecture), in the scenographic city of Venice when he was working as a sound artist, experience that inspired his interest for creating sounds formerly in a more experimental way and latter, for the electronic dance scene.

Perhaps it was the lack of an electronic music scene in Venice what took him from a deep musical research right forward to what was his underneath passion. After more than three years of isolation and experimental work in the romantic floating city he moves to Barcelona looking for a more active place. The citys overwhelmed electronic scene taught him a lot and was the playground for his former productions and his first Live Project under the name of anLog. In 2009 he was back to Bogota, his natal city, where he took his Live sets all over sometimes fighting against the city mainstream commercial venue.

Mihael Keehl´s approach to sound relates to certain architectural concepts, where structure and space become central to his sonic exploration, all with an intention to create states of mood and the fluctuation of different emotions in the brain; mental and sophisticated music for the dance floor, “the space for the ritual of the self and the other, alone and together under common vibes.”

He argues the lack of a formal musical background to be the foundation of his sound, there’s no musical idea behind, rather a rough experimentation with sound and the primitive concept of the beats which had no further scope than to create cohesion within the social structure through repetitive and hypnotic vibes. His sound oscillates between minimal and techno stile, but sometimes it can be very diverse.

On stage he is characterized for filling the space with good vibes with his particular style playing live or by arranging a dj set full of original tracks and remixes with the only aim of having fun and move your bone!

From 1995 on, she decided to take a chance on the job, playing at private parties. Encouraged by DJ Mau Mau, she started playing professionally in 1996 and soon became a resident DJ at Hell’s Club (where electronic music in So Paulo boomed). In the same year she received the best revelation DJ prize from “Os Melhores da Noite Ilustrada” (Folha de So Paulo), from the writer Erika Palomino, as a recognition of her ability with the decks.

After that she was invited to play at the best clubs in So Paulo, such as Latino, B.A.S.E., Kashmir, Sound Factory and Kintamani, and at the best raves of the country, such as Xxxperience, Fusion, Avonts, Tecnolgica, Gaia Rave and Resistance. In 1997 she went to London with DJ Mau Mau and got involved with the label Cluster (Cris Liberator and Julian Liberator), improving her knowledge. In 1998, she became a resident DJ of one of the main clubs in So Paulo, Lov.e Club and Lounge, where she played every Saturday at Combustvel project for 5 years.

At Lov.e Clubs monthly Lov.e Express Party she played with famous international DJs like Monica Kruser, Darren Emerson, Funk D’avoid, Mathew Bushwacka B! and Darren Price. She also played beside artists like Laurent Garnier, Kevin Saunderson and Julian Liberator. She was a resident DJ at the extinct Jazzy and Stereo clubs, and performed at big events like Skol Beats, MTV Party and Carlton Dance.

Paula has an unmistakable style and precise mixing technique, which helped her release her first promotional CD, Paula Vol.I, concluded in M4J studio, and that had excellent reviews by the audience and the press, such as “onSpeed” and “DJ Sound” magazines and Folha de So Paulo newspaper. Paula often plays in So Paulo at clubs like A Loca, Overnight, D-Edge, Manga Rosa, Ampgalaxy, Ultralounge; and in other cities of the So Paulo state, like Ribeiro Preto (Samanea), Santos, Guaruj, Taubat (Divina), Maresias, Campos do Jordo, So Carlos, Indaiatuba (Zoff) and also all over Brazil: Rio de Janeiro, Manaus, Campo Grande (Nocturna), Recife, Bzios, Belo Horizonte (Josefine), Florianpolis (Caf Cancun), Guaratuba (Caf Curaao), Curitiba (Heaven), Porto Alegre (Neo e The Farm), Natal (Electroland), Camboriu, Cuiab (Getlio Dance) and Trancoso.

In July 2002 she performed in Bogot (Colombia). And in June 2003, she performed in Paris at Open House party and at La Musique – in the most important day of music in France, at a tent for thousands of people. She was also a resident DJ at 1234U project, monthly in Pix, now club 13.

Paula is also investing on her producer career: she released, in a partnership with DJ and producer Philip Braunstein, the label Special Series. The launching party took place at Lov.e Club in October 2003, with the presence of DJ Adam Jay. In 2004, she kept her residency at Combustvel project (at Lov.e club) and managed to play at several capitals of Brazil, spreading her name even more outside So Paulo. In the same year, she released a remix track for the City of God soundtrack, a project that gathered a number of important Brazilian producers, such as Mau Mau, Renato Cohen, Camilo Rocha, Pet Duo, Murphy and herself.

Along with other renowned DJs, Paula released a track for the Love for So Paulo CD. After 7 years as a resident at Lov.e club, Paula moved on to pursue new paths. She started a Saturday residency at Vegas Club, the new cool spot of electronic music in So Paulo. The party is called Mafia and gathers eclectic beats, from house to old school hip hop. She’s also a resident at CIO party, every Wednesday at D-Edge, one of the most famous clubs in Brazil, and maintains a Friday residency at Manga Rosa club, along with DJ Claudinho I.

A big fan of music, she couldn’t resist the wonders of Final Scratch, despite being officially an obsessive vinyl collector. Speaking of which, her latest label release, Obsessive Love, was sold out after only 3 weeks at Juno.co.uk virtual record shop and became part of the playlists of DJs such as Carl Cox, Mauro Piccoto and Umek. For 2007, she plans to release a “2″ vinyl on her label Special-Series.

Audio Go a.k.a. Diogo Bacchi, names proposed projects divided into different sounds. Diogo Bacchi protrudes in house music with versatility. Audio Go focuses on your personal taste in contemporary conceptual and focused on winning the individual listener and more technical, with sounds like minimal, techno and variants. Released in December 2010 with a range Alvinho L.

Noise in the collection aired by Creative Sounds Lo Kik Records (RC2 Music) chosen by the magazine DJmag “Best of 2010″ – Best Brazilian eletronic label, featuring tracks by Renato Cohen, DJ Magal and several other important artists. In April 2010 released by U.S. label remix for the French YokoO. Both are readily available at most digital music store in the world (Beatport.com).

Diogo is influential in the electronic scene for over a decade. Shared the stage with artists like Stephan Bodzin, Oliver Huntemann, Valentino Kanziani, Derick Carter, MANDY, Oxia, Gustavo Bravetti, Dimitri Nakov, Mau-Mau, Renato Cohen, Anderson Noise, Murphy, Renato Ratier, Dada Attack, Gabe, Dino Psaras, Paula Chalup and many others.

Mateus B. at the age of 21, he had his tracks spinned by the likes of James Zabiela, John Acquaviva, Kolombo and John Dalhback. Djing for 4 years, he owns the labels Brazuka Records and Sinestetic Music which has had releases in vinyl and now is in its 80th release digital, sold at the most important digital stores (Beatport, Trackitdown, Juno, 3BeatDigital, DjDownload).

He is an instructor in the Dj and Production courses at Aimec (Eletronic Music International Academy), having more than 1500 students graduated. Resident at Bielle Club, in the west of Paran, and also at the most important club in the east coast Caf Curacao, where he djs during the summer. Winner of a music production contest by DubMusic in So Paulo, he has got a ticket to Europe.

Mateus has signed for one of the hottest labels, Definitive Records by John Acquaviva, releasing the track Fierce Life with Ilan Kriger, the track was remixed by Greg Kobe and Alex Dias.

Rodrigo Gel began his career as a DJ in 2000 and now is considered by fans and understood on the subject as one of the best DJ in Brazil and a master when it comes to mixing and quality, performance and total dominion over equipment.

Rodrigo Gel has extensive experience and each presentation attracts many curious and receives many praises for many people including a top DJ’s and idols including Agoria, Murphy and Lukas. Gel is recognized and remembered by Dj Murphy (source of references) as: “The guy who does what I do.” The sets of Gel are based in house and techno, and it are filled with performances like scratches, back to back, cuts, samples, effects and mixing with 3 decks simultaneously.

After weeks of listening and careful consideration to every submitted remix, having as priority music proposal, creativity and music production, Progrezo Records has found its best remix winners !!

In fact, the label team was so impressed by the submissions, deciding to release more than one track, so here are the winners:

The Grand winner comes from France and has been considered the artist with more remix prizes by Soundcloud, including latest Rino Cerrone’ imprint remix contest. Marcel Source is a young dj and producer who try to create a new soup with a minimal house base. He was influenced on his childhood by a French radio show called “Better Days”, discovering the best soulful house from USA, France…

Listening to some Kiki and Mandy sets on techno festivals, he decides to make music in the dark side, surrounded by wet atmos’, techno rhythms and some experiments on backgrounds and melodies. His first release came thanks to a remix contest organized by FOEM and the famous Italian DJ Rino Cerrone.

Actually, “Exnovo” (Mazel Source remix) is one of the best sellers on Rilis Records, also played by Richie Hawtin. After winning several contests on the same site (FOEM), he started a carrier with his own productions, with 2 EP already signed.

Producing is the main goal, no Djing. Some of his influences are Konrad Black, Someone Else, Magda, Slam, Maetrik, Secret Cinema, Minicoolboyz …

Mazel Source known as Exnovo, is the remix winner not only by his outstanding proposal, but also achieving support from the other contest participants. Inspired in the magnificent voice of Collin Ruffino, Mazel creates a magic and futuristic mix adding a sophisticated beat with subtle bass over open effects, he brings to his version kind of elegance and glamorous techno mood, that reveals during the course a stomped rhythm accompanied by heavenly choirs and low infected shakes. Notes and stylized sounds invites you to discover an astral space with the magic voice of Collin and his guitar-rock, bringing a new trippy level. The second place comes from Ukrainian producer DJ Trielix, who interprets the original version dynamically, bringing height to his mix with a solid drum-kick and mad-bass-line that ties the senses to musical tension keeping the environment up. With a quick stop reveals the voice of Collin adding precise effects and textures to discover a new music-plane that shows security and peace in the walk. His mix gets a new sleeve under the sleeve, sampling voices and effects to alter the dance floor color.

The third place comes from Argentinean DJ and producer Lafken, who has been involved with music since early days learning to play and drums. Mariano Mendez known as Lafken started to play guitar at age of 15, moving his main interest to guitar mood which nowadays has gained attention in several projects to shape.

Producing electronic music since around 4 years ago, Lafken is a re-searcher of high quality music ambience. His senses and imagination have no boundaries, always influenced by cinematic landscapes.

Actually Lafken is studying sound engineering looking for define as much as possible his own music proposal and career to get better. He discovered techno not so long ago, and it blew his mind since the beginning. Deep sounds with surrounded atmospheres are the main importance and focus in his journeys, where every single detail as deserves kind of attention.

Inspired in the original guitars, Lafken brings more music to his version, adding a guitar-solo that really has surprised!!

Building his version with subtle rhythm-textures and cinematic atmospheres, Lafken reveals Colin’s voice surrounded by his guitars as phenomenal appearing along with wide choirs which invites to enjoy a spiritual and emotional journey of high quality music, unmasking a solid pace with dynamism influenced from the original version.

The history of Budapest began with Aquincum, originally a Celtic settlement that became the Roman capital of Lower Pannonia. Hungarians arrived in the territory in the 9th century.
