Anyone tapped into the pulse or keeping score of modern electronic music has probably heard of Timo Garcia. Straddling the fine line between underground darling and big room, big tune dance floor arsonist, his numerous releases on the circuit’s biggest and best labels has been well documented.
His consistency in the studio has culminated in ‘Wonderlust Bug’; his acclaimed debut artist album with some of the world’s biggest names queuing up to recommend it…

But talk is cheap, action stands out, and Timo comes up trumps again! His latest release on Sharam’s Yoshitoshi imprint recently graced the Beatport top 10 Tech charts for well over three months with many world class DJs citing it in their personal top 10’s too.
2010 also saw the release of a double CD, littered with remixes from his album tracks by production heavyweights that include DJ Pierre, Onionz, Eric Kupper and James Harcourt. It is a testament to Timo’s calibre that such big names are ready to remix his work and is a pleasant shift from him doing the remixing – his deft touch can be heard on remixes of such luminaries as Leftfield, Justice, DJ Pierre, Louis Vega, Coldcut, Danny Howells and Ian Brown and he is constantly on the lookout for ways to add his inimitable sound to wide-ranging projects including a 15 track ambient album under his new ‘T Mo’ guise.
His infamy has spread among the label bosses who set the trends and create the futureheroes of our worlds. Yoshitoshi, Audio Therapy, Nervous, Dieb Audio, Veryverywrongindeed, NM2, Hotfingers, Cr2 & Toolroom are just some of the worldfamous imprints who have clamoured to get a piece of Timo’s brilliance.
It seems incredible that he still has time to DJ around the world and hold down his residency at the globally revered Ministry of Sound club, and this summer saw him play the main stage at London’s biggest Dance music festival ‘South West Four’; but this is a man who has both a dedication and a love for his craft and this is something that he exudes, whether behind the decks or in the studio.

Gare Mat K has been working in the movement of electronic music for well over decade with many of the world’s top DJS’, recognized promoters and clubs around the world, as well as he has enjoyed top charts success on numerous of occasions.

Under its belt, Gare has mixed three different compilation CDs, and is working on his fourth next to Swedish Jeff Bennett, for release in 2011.

In recognition to his strictly music selection and impeccable DJ sets, Gare Mat K has won the place to share stage with Cassius, John Digweed, Timo Maas, Loco Dice, Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Howells, Stel, Pole Folder, Danny Rampling, BT, Hatiras, Tom Pooks, Sander Kleinenberg and Da Hool and many more, as well as has been invited to participate in different live concerts, opening nights for recognized rock-stars, including Enrique Bumburi in his Colombian tour, in front to more than 10,000 attendees.
In the mean time, has been invited to participate in well known music festivals, including support from Canadian Mutek, in front of more than 50.000 people.
Today, Gare Mat K is part of a select list of “tastemakers” into the music industry, where the most prominent and renowned record labels, features their upcoming releases, to get feedback, rating and support for use in the music market.
